About Dr. Jordan

Hi, I'm Jordan! (She/Her)

I created Well Path Counseling to help people achieve meaningful life changes and experience hope and healing. I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling Education & Supervision, and I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Palm Desert, California. My clinical training is rooted in strengths-based approaches, including Narrative and Solution-Focused therapy. In addition to working with clients, I am a professor for the Master of Arts in Counseling program at Concordia University, Irvine, and the Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology program at Pepperdine University. I also provide clinical supervision to student interns and trainees and conduct research on mental health and counselor education topics.

I value emotional safety, flexibility, and creativity and will collaborate with you to develop a practical and individualized wellness plan for your personal growth. I will listen carefully and provide compassionate, non-judgmental support to help you achieve your goals. Please see below to learn more about my approach to counseling.

My Approach

  • Narrative Therapy

I have advanced training in Narrative Therapy, an evidence-based, non-pathologizing, and respectful approach to counseling. I recognize that your problems do not define you and are created within broader social and relational contexts. Together, we will explore your life story, discuss how problems have taken center stage, and strategize ways for you to take back your ability to direct your own life.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

I am certified in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. This is an evidence-based approach to counseling that is effective in treating a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Utilizing this approach, I will work with you to determine what you want to achieve the most in your life and practical steps you can take to achieve it.
